Short Biography - Christer Ericson
Christer Ericson is Director of Tools and Technology for internal development at Sony Computer Entertainment America in Santa Monica. Before joining Sony in 1999, he was a senior programmer at Neversoft Entertainment. Christer received his Masters degree in computer science from Umeå University, Sweden, where he also lectured for several years before moving to the United States in early 1996.
Christer is an active participant in the game industry. His involvement includes serving on the advisory board for Full Sail's Game Design and Development degree program (since 2002) and on the advisory board for the GameTech technical seminars. Christer has lectured at both the Game Developers Conference (GDC) and SIGGRAPH. He is the author of the book Real-Time Collision Detection (Morgan Kaufmann, 2005).
